I wholeheartedly agree with the consensus here. The clam was on its way out or had already died. Nassarius are not predators, just scavengers.

You should be fine. If you lose some coraline, no big deal, it'll grow back. You just want to keep the biological colonies alive. Adding a heater and powerhead will do just what you need it to do....
