Is it a clouding effect or a snowing effect. If it just clouds for a bit then it's just Magnesium temporarily reacting with elements in the water. These componds should dissolve pretty fast.

I'm not really an SPS guy but if it were me I wouldn't frag them unless you know it's RTN. If it's temp shock or lack of O2 from stagnant water then fragging them is just going to stress the corals...

I'd suggest an ALK test that give you numbers. Salifert comes to mind.

In my experience Xenia are a bit perturbed when ALK & Calcium levels are unbalanced, ie. high ALK-low Ca or low ALK-High CA....
