It's probably inside the head unit. AM antennas are small wire-wrapped metal bars, only about 2 inches long. HTH

I had good luck using an ordinary hacksaw to cut LR. I cut the buttoms off several tall pieces to make a flat section so they'd stand up better. Very easy to cut.
