the original question was for a 60 inch flat panel under $2000....that would definitely mean plasma technology....LCD would cost...

check avsforum before you buy... LCD has limitations and most of them that are in the 1000 - 1500 price range are not the 1080p.

at this time 1080p is overrated anyways since there's no source...
