It might be you already have the maximum number of fish your tank can support. It sounds like there is just not enough space for new fish.

Very active!

I can't imagine a Clown Tang in anything less than a 6' tank, and I could see that being too small eventually.

My tank is 8' long and the fish is about 5" long and it is all over the tank.
