Looking back the decline of that first piece may have started not long after I got rid of my six-line wrasse. Maybe he was controlling them?

Smaller than a pin head, but they do have a dark spot at intervals around their shell similiar to the picture above.

Haven't been able to see any visible predation, but I'm planning a freshwater dip.

They are approximately 7 inches under the water....
They are approximately 7 inches under the water. The greenish one is closer to 8 inches under.
Higher than their current location is not a very good option, its like surf zone high flow up there....

It was suggested to me that temperature might be the problem so I have bumped my temp down 2 degrees to 80 and will be watching for any effect that might have.
