What are you using for lighting?

I just got a 240 from GC's as well, only mine is 60x36x25. Mine is going to be mostly soft corals as well.

I'm currently setting up a softie dominated 240gallon also. Mine is 60"x36"x24". I was thinking of getting a vortech powerhead, but am worried that it would be too strong flow for softies?

I would think you'd be fine. I have had a clam under PC's only going on 6 years. Happy as a clam.
I personally don't buy into this watts/gallon hoopla. I also have a 125gallon lit only by 3x150wt...

Congrats on your fish!! I've never caught a bigeye, but I've caught tons of bluefin & yellowfin.

We took 3rd in the Ocean City tuna tournament this year!! 477# stringer weight with 4 fish. :-)...

Same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago, except mine got up to 94. Fish and clam survived. All corals lived except the torch,xenia,and a leather. Oh, I do have a nice hair algea farm going , too.

Where can I get base rock?

I'd love to see some soft coral tanks lit by metal halides. Right now mine are under PC's but I am setting up a much larger tank and would like to use halides only.
