It's going great, puffed up a bit more and 'stalk' has elongated so fingers crossed.
You say wow does this mean it may be unusual could you point me to some info on the internet?

No the segments you see are actually seperate...

No the segments you see are actually seperate 'tufts',the tiny holes are actually small polyps and it acts like most softies i.e points on it's stalk in different directions
