Never had a problem with acrylic. The scratches can be removed, but you can't do that with glass. It'll bow, which is the only downside to me.

For larger tanks, I like Sohals or Vlamingi Tangs.

My personal favorite, that I can actually own, is a Red Sea Sailfin/Desjardini Tang.

Our power has been on and off atleast 5 times, but never for more than a minute or so. Hopefully everyone is faring well. Sounds like a lot of us are going to be hitting the stores for UPSs.

I like the Vortechs, but I'll never buy one. I prefer the look of a tank without powerheads. The next tank build I do will have holes drilled, bulkheads and lockline. JMO.

That's just about where I'm at. My avg. summer bill is right around $350-$375 and winter is about $225. This is with a 90g 2 x 250w and 50g 4 x 96w. Neither tank requires a chiller...just 2 4"...

I'd go with the slimer. It's a bright, fast grower. I've got a 2" or so frag if you're interested.
