But just out of curiosity then, how does dimming work? Isn't it done by changing the frequency?

I want to run it here in Canada. I have a 220v line ready to go but here we run on 60 hz.

I think you will have to go with an external...

I think you will have to go with an external shaft driven pump to give you a reasonable flow at 20 or so feet of head pressure. You could check out Reeflo pumps- their website gives all of the head...

and you don't have to worry about rusting with a wood stand. My old stand under a 265g was steel and even with a few coats of paint, it began to show spots of corrosion. My next stand will be wood.

maybe the black nut in the front of the regulator...

maybe the black nut in the front of the regulator needs to have the pressure reduced, ie: unscrew it all the way before plugging in the solenoid.
