Don't think I've ever seen anything on sexing them. The only ones I know of that have spawned in captivity or the rough skin dwarfs. Search for info on those and you may find something

I hate comments like "that is why they will probably never breed in captivity". Twenty years ago people said live corals would never be able to be kept in captivity.

Nothing like breaded abalone! Don't cook them for more than a minute on either side, and you have to really tenderize the heck out of them prior to breading.

Well yeah.... Kalk is Ca(OH)2 which is lime. Also used in outhouses to reduce odor, but then again you probably don't have those in WI...move to rural Arkansas :)

Concerned about that too, but since 99% of those fish in your LFS are wild caught....most of them are imported from somewhere. Hence, why a connection to a wholesaler or importer would be useful.
