If the estimate is only 500 bucks, I would just fix it yourself. You do a claim on it and your insurance will go up.

Support the local economy and go to your LFS. Almost any LFS sells a 4 strip nova extreme for under 300 bucks

Put some live rock in their for him to graze on throughout the day and throw some nori in there for him too. Do supplement with garlic- very good for immune systems for all living things.

I had to get rid of my tank so I figured I might as well get rid of some of the equipment. The Coralife sterilizer is only 3 months old and the Mag 5 is around a year old. Would like to get 40 bucks...

yeah i agree about the tunze. i think a maxi jet is just fine. so a tunze might save some money energy wise but i doubt it is that much more noticeable. It would probably take a year to even outweigh...
