Overflow

Okay heres the sit. i have a overflow, its not takin in alot of water, because.... when i have the pump at full open it doesnt skim the junk off the top, is the junk bad, my skimmer doesnt take it...

okay i come back from school and my small blue hippo is been sucked into the skimmer pump, hes not dead but injured i can not asess the damage, hes got some bad scale damage and maybe a fin pulled...

ive got 1 brain coral in my tank, its got 250w i think. some water movment and its bleaching and dieing, whats going on?
