I use barb fittings to transition from hard PVC...

I use barb fittings to transition from hard PVC to PVC spa flex. I heat the end of the spa flex in boiling water to soften it up than slide it over the barb and apply a hose clamp.

I connect spa flex to PVC with a PVC barb fitting. The spa flex will fit VERY tight on the barb fitting. I boil water and place the end of the spa flex in the boiling water to soften it up a bit...

dadonoflaw - is your tank covered? If not I would recommend that you do not add a snowflake eel. SFE's are escape artists and without a tight cover the eel will get out. Good luck.

sun corals are non-photosynthetic / have you fed it? Try taking some arctic pods or other liquid based food and using a turkey baster squirt the sun coral. Within 15 minutes it should open...
