Interesting... Right now there are just 2 blood shrimp in the tank. So i don't think its an issue of predation. I'll try feeding them more. Not that I'm going to even attempt to raise larvae...

Thanks! I'll look that up to learn more about it. Actually grew pretty fast, when it first started sprouting on the rock, it looked like small patches of green hair algae, but they quickly fattened...

I would use RO. With ocean water, you never know what could be in it (pollutants, etc). Especially after a storm event, the water near shore would have a lot of runoff from land.

Ive had my tank for a year now, and it didn't spread much at all until the past few months. Now it has really started to take off, just be patient.
