I agree with trying to keep the line in 1 peice for as long as posible. personally i know i wouldnt want it split into the tank though (aestetics)... mabye split it right above the tank and angle...

I know my via aqua's produce enough heat in a 5 gal bucket to keep the temp around 95-100....
you would notice if the temp in the water gets real hot real fast...
