ive got alot of clams and about 15 of them are on...

ive got alot of clams and about 15 of them are on the sand bed all of which are touching each other. the only thing that seems to make them mad is the anemone

i have 2 squamosas and have tried to place both of them on rocks but they just move over to the sand. they are doing great on the sand so i am just going to leave them there.

there are no clams that are low light clams but...

there are no clams that are low light clams but there are a few species that dont require quite as intense light. these are the squamosa and derasa. you might even try a hippopus even though they...

if your tank has only been set up for three months i would wait before adding a clam. they really need to have an established tank. i agree with Ron that watts per gallon doesn't really work.

man i am not sure where to go up there. i live in ft lauderdale and there are a couple of lfs here that i buy all of my clams from. if you are ever in ft. lauderdale you should check them out.

man im not sure. clams need really intense light and most clams live close to the surface so i would not go any moe than 10 k on my clam tanks. i love my 10k 's though and with actnic supplements...

i agree. i think a freshwater dip would stress out the clam more than just removing the gsp. i would just take the clam out and scrubb the shell real good.

i think it is always good to start with a...

i think it is always good to start with a squamosa or a derasa just because they do not seem quite as hard to keep. both are hardy and look very cool. they are not as colorful as maximas or croceas...
