I had a similar chronic low PH problem, My readings averaged 7.78-7.91, and I traced it to high indoor CO2. After cracking open two windows, my PH averages 8.14.

On Friday, I scrubbed my live rock to remove algae. After scrubbing, I soaked it in 5 gallons of aquarium water and loose GFO binder circulated by a powerhead for 15 minutes.
