I highly suggest remove the rock, chiseling off any traces of the Hyrdoids and smother the area in gel super glue. They can grow at alarming rates and can really mess up a nice reef tank.

IME, Turbos are fairly similar in that they prefer a bit cooler water and have veracious appetites. I think most people tend to overstock w/these snails. I only recommend a few for a decent size...

Well of course they eat algae but the info you got from Calfo/Fenner is pretty much spot on. I have had them before and never been able to keep them much beyond a year.

I don't think it works that way. Most soft corals have the ability to slime up and detach from super glue. That is one reason why it is difficult to attach most mushrooms w/super glue.

I don't believe so. I have had a Ricordia Yuma move around on a rock and leave bits of fleshy tissue all over it from their foot. In a short time, new Ricordia were formed from this tissue.
