Like others I use the Great White magnet cleaner...

Like others I use the Great White magnet cleaner on my 1" thick acrylic tank. I'm happy with this.

While use of the acrylic pad on the inside is obvious, I use a cotton baby diaper dampened...

It's designed for in-sump use...It could be modified for outside of sump use...but I wouldn't recommend that.

Great White magnet with acrylic pad on the inside. (my acrylic is 1") I use a baby diaper on the outside magnet when using the Great White.

I would love to see/hear more about your RK2 skimmer. Is it a 25? I have my eyes on one myself. Nice tank dimensions. When designing, I drew up a 6' x 6'...but I ended up with 6' x 4'.

If I made one mistake in building up my system...it was not putting in a refugium. I could not get hair algae under control so I found a way to shoe-horn one in. I really wish I had planned it all...

I'm an acrylic guy also. My tank is 6' x 4' and I just would never trust the seals on glass. The fish have already scratched the tank in less than 1 year, but I would still not consider glass.

Mine is acrylic. I don't feel like I really had much choice. Glass would have been much too heavy to install (given my situation), and I sleep better at night because I've heard too many horror...

I just strung together a few of those Phosban 150's. I find they are very easy to maintain. Nothing fancy.
