I feel for the price you're better going for T5s. Solaris produces nice light, and has some great features (dimmability, etc), but you'll get more light for your buck (over time) with T5s. LEDs...

Xenias are one of those corals that like dirtier nitrate-laden (to a point :)) water. Some people have major problems with them though. It wouldn't hurt trying some Xenia.

Odds are it will light. I wouldn't suggest using it though - real T5 ballasts are much smarter than straight electronic ballasts.
