I wouldn't go smaller than a 90g with any of the Chilomycterus sp. They can get to 10-12" without tail. Just doesn't seem right in a 55.

Were they tassels or more like erect spines? There are a few species of puffers in the genus "chilomycterus" that are sometimes mislabeled porcupine puffers.

you can never tell with puffers. their personality will be up to the individual fish, although some species are more prone to aggression than others. Porcs are generally more mellow.

It's a fowlr tank. And the thing is that it is already set up. It is a 120g that I want to hook up to my 75g display fuge. That and my girlfriend won't let me drill it.
