lol no that probably wouldn't come out too good...

lol no that probably wouldn't come out too good being as though when each polyp retracts it goes into the skeleton. You'd be doing more damage than good to the coral.

Are there any LPS that will do well under high lighting. I have a 250de 10k thats like 4" above water level and I want some LPS that will do well in the sand directly below it. The tank is 24" deep...

I'm just gonna go with 2 20k's when I upgrade my lighting next month. Its a 65 gallon and I'm just going to put 2 400watt 20k's over it.

All the time but I only have like 1 1/2 inches of sand down and its uneven. I watch them constantly shoveling it around with their mouths and cleaning out their burrows.

Do 3-250 watt metal halides, one for every 2 feet. Or you could do 3-175 watt lights and put the lps in the sand and keep the sps right near the top. I'd say if you're doing more sps go with 250's...
