That's a mighty lens. I know Canon's 1200mm cost more than a new Mercedez Benz, I wonder what the additional 17000mm cost you. Personally, I would have gotten one of the space shuttles about to be...

Increase your shutter speed or move the camera with the tang, keeping the AF point on the same section of the fish for the entire frame. Like golf, tennis, or any other scenario...follow through.

Just vote for the one you love/use the most. This should help all those people saying "what camera does everyone use". So far the rebel series looks appealing by popular vote. I agree Pentax makes a...

It is different with every single picture. That's the whole point. It's not that there isn't a specific answer...there isn't any answer at all. The closest thing to an answer I could think of for...

I agree about the lenses being the most important part. I don't have much glass, but what I do have is top notch. My 40D probably won't be around in 30 years, but my 24-70L hopefully will.

Poll: What camera do you use?

I may have misrepresented some camera bodies. If so I apologize, and please out the mistakes. This is a general survey with what I perceive to be the most popular cameras today.

Get the 100 macro and you won't regret it. It is perfect simply as a regular lens as well. The image quality is virtually unsurpassed, imho. Your Xt probably won't be around in 10 years but with care...

What about a 10-22 or 3rd party 10-20 Sigma? I love the 10-22 on my 40D, I'm sure it would be considered an "L" if it wasn't EFs.

EDIT: after reading everything I see you went with the 17-40 f/4 L...

Going back to the money pit statement, Photoshop alone will run close to $1000 for a copy that is current with the times. You'll need a back pack to carry everything, I would guess about $200-400 for...

This by the way is a ridiculous statement. Even much of the dead sea is only 30%. What I think you meant is salinity at 3.5%...35% definitely "is a little high IMO"!

Nobody? Oh well I'm pretty much set on the 100 anyway. I can't really imagine using a 180 on a 1.6 D40 but wanted to see it at least.

I would like to compare the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro and EF 180mm f/3.5 L USM Macro lens before purchase. Please submit photos taken with either for comparison.

Nikon D80 would be the "best" for around $800. I personally prefer the Canon 400D at $650 over the D80, and the Canon 40D at $1200 blows the D80 out of the water. Pun intended.

Of course, the most...
