^Link to the G9, the S5 is also wonderful but its all hearsay, I use a 40D. Try B&H as a well priced, reliable dealer.

Increase your shutter speed or move the camera...
Increase your shutter speed or move the camera with the tang, keeping the AF point on the same section of the fish for the entire frame. Like golf, tennis, or any other scenario...follow through.

I agree about the lenses being the most important part. I don't have much glass, but what I do have is top notch. My 40D probably won't be around in 30 years, but my 24-70L hopefully will.

Nikon D80 would be the "best" for around $800. I personally prefer the Canon 400D at $650 over the D80, and the Canon 40D at $1200 blows the D80 out of the water. Pun intended.
