sps turning white

Well I had an encrusting montipora frag. I placed it within an inch or so from another acro sp. All of a sudden I saw the edge of the montipora turning white. I didn't do much then I looked at it...

That is odd...I have never thought/read what biproduct they expel? I would imagine they expel CO2 though? Since they are a living animal rather than a plant.

Man, it will be expensive but it would be great if you are able to do it!!!! It would be nice if you can build something so that you can view it from its side though.

i did think about putting tape over it...but...

i did think about putting tape over it...but since I know vinager will disolve them and I had some on hand I just used that.

Actually it doesn't hurt. It just looks painful.

No the powersweep froze a long time ago. Things don't work! So, now they just push water, nothing more.

I wish he would eat more mysids. I had some time back a cbb and I had no problem with him. He was actually a little pig! I had that one for a long time but then I moved and he died with the move? :(...
