The AC3 has two BNC connectors that can be configured as either pH and ORP or dual pH. If you configure it as dual pH you can monitor your tank and control your calcium...

I second the fruit bag. For shrooms, I normally take half an empty clam shell, got more of those than I'm proud of, and put the shrooms in it. Then I put the clam shell inside an empty fruit bag....
