No mate, don't use vodka for the phosphates mate try phosban, it's great install and forget it is just in a little bag in your filter it is superb took mine to 0 overnight

Right an update Just went back to my shop...

Just went back to my shop for water tests after i discovered a death in the tank, was a bit worried reason being that i had upped my vodka addition last night from 1.25ml to 2ml....
