You could do that just make sure water can still get around the live rock, or you could put cheato in it and put a rock on top of it so it stays in place.

Xeinia is a good coral to frag just put a bunch...

Xeinia is a good coral to frag just put a bunch of small rocks next to it and it will grow onto the rocks so you dont have to cut or glue anything.
