Oh, I forgot to mention. The spray comes up and hits the shield, but it stays wet so you really don't get anything that blocks the light too bad. Some salt creep around the edges but that's it.

I've never used the ASM G2, but everyone I've known loves them. I have seen one at a LFS and it really seems to pull out thick, dry foam. It would be an excellent choice if you can afford it.
