Shouldn't PAR be a standard measurement?

What I mean is: With the price of light meters down around $150-200, haven't we gotten to the point that we should be checking PAR and using this information not only to guide us as to when bulb...

T5 mounting height

I know most people mount their T5's 4-6" above the water surface (at least I think they do).

Is the height recommendation the same if T5s are supplying supplmental blue and actinic in conjunction...

As a matter of fact, your thread motivated me and I retrofitted my 150w de sockets into my mini lumenarc this afternoon. Cost me $7 in parts at the hardware store.

I looked at this exact issue myself. With a little ingenuity you could retrofit 150w de sockets into the Lumenarc III mini relectors, and if your tank is only 15" tall, the 150w should be fine....
