Blue CFL bulb

I started using one of these blue CFl 13 watt bulbs as a moon light. I sheild it a little so it isnt to bright. It looks good, runs cool, and cheap. I cant find any info as far as CRI or degrees K....

Thats where they are now, I tried them a little deeper and got better water movement. I want to avoid powerheads in tank if I can. I have a 44g acrylic cube with a drain drilled in the bottom.

I made homemade reflectors out of aluminum...

I made homemade reflectors out of aluminum flashing from Home Depot. Just cu and bent to the right size. I replace it when it corrodes a little, around a year.

Check out LED center (http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz.) I just made a setup with 4, 5mm blue LEDs and a 12v DC power supply using the wizard.
