Spring water can contain just about anything. It tastes good because of all the trace elements.

You're better off using distilled, RO or RO/DI.

Algae is normal. You will have blooms and die off's of algae, diatoms, cyano etc. multiple times before everything stabilizes. It takes a while (months! - even though parameters may read as "normal")...
