If you can cut it out of the water that will be a big help. Leathers can release toxins when fragged. If not possible put in some fresh carbon to help minimize the effcts.

Opposite sides, 1 pulling in fresh air the other blowing out warm air from the canopy..definitely the most efficient way to go.

Bummer, if it was the 1/10th I would give it a run on my 75 G. I am only looking for a 3-4 degree drop at most in the heat of the summer but I don't think the 1/15th will get it done.

I'd go with a JBJ topoff and an Aquacontroller. These two will basically make your tank very daily maintenance free with the exception of adding your 2 part. Of course you could add a doser as well...
