I use a styro-lined box with a 60+ hour heat pack. Poke a hole or two in the styro for oxygen. Take it to the post office or ups store as late as possible and only ship overnight.

Check to see if you lost the plastic peice that sits at the bottom of the shaft. I lost mine when cleaning and got a loud hum afterward. If so contact Hydor and they send you some for free.

Mine were notorious for eating zoas and picking at my candy cane, so Id say its them. They wiped out a huge aptasia problem but moved on to my coral very quickly.
