Under the rocks are acrylic frames siliconed to the bottom of the tank. The rock is then stacked on top of those frames and inside them, it is barebottom. Outside the frames is sand.

You can inject it into your skimmers' venturi (air intake), use i with an ozone reactor, but either way, you will want to monitor and control your ORP with your new Aquacontroller.

The unknown coral looks more like a favia or favites to me. Feeding it while it's polyps are extended like that is a good idea, but I do not think it is a Tubastrea (Sun Coral).
