If You've done FW planted,then You shouldn't have much of problem with SW.There are some differences though.
Nitrate <10 ppm,KN03 potassium nitrate,I think there is a CaN03 that can be used too.

Sounds like You have the Dino's under control.As for the pH,Ca,Alk problem swinging up and down I would check the magnesium level,if it's too low you'll have a presiptation accurance.(snow storm)

I think Plantbrains idea about the microbubbles maybe key here,I don't worry about them in the fuge,just in the DT. My intrest in Co2 is to see if it will help keep the film off the grass blades.
