Take a small screwdriver like boydx6 said and...
Take a small screwdriver like boydx6 said and stick it in the small circular hole (not the long skinny one) in the end cap. Move the copper piece to the side that wedges the wire in....it should pop...

I think it has to do with the consistency/cure time of it.... The weld-on 4 is much runnier that the 16. The 16 is pretty thick.
I think each has it's own application..... I have seen 3 and 4...
