Adding fish to start a tank cycling works but at the same time unnecessary stresses the fish out. There are many methods to start a tank cycling, live rock has proven to be the best method for me.

A fluidized bed filter can be bad system if the power goes off for to long, the bad effluent gets pumped back into the system when the pwr gets turned bk on, just what i have been told. I don't know...
