Should I light my live rock?

I have a 75 gal rubbermaid filled with live rock for extra bio filtration. Is there any benifit to having this lit? I Also have a 75 gal tank with a bsb and macro light by a 250w as a refugem....

My lonenosed went carpet surfing so I'd suggest a top of some sort to prevent jumping.
Besides Hawks are nicer than shrimp or snails

But I decided to mount mine on the top of the canapoy and get some male and female plugs to make quick disconnects...
