1100 imo, I have a 620 in my 45G and I wish I got the 820 now. The flow from the Seio's is very gentle and well spread out from my experience with them. I think there GPH is a little overrated.

I did the same thing when I first set-up my tank. I blame those stupid PH additives "Low PH - no problem add this PH booster" Its easy to overdose with them.

Havent used it myself, but it must be better than oceanic, that stuff is know for very high calcium.
IO or reef crystals has good Alk - Cal - Mag levels.

Turbo snails are the daddy of all snails IMO :) I have 6 in my 45G - they keep it algae free. I also have about 12 Cerith snails as TippyToeX has suggested, there not as active as the Turbos though.
