same thing happened to me, my xenia was rampant - I was persuaded to upgrade my skimmer, which I did. Tank going well, esp my acroporas and montis, but the xenia died back to nothing and is now gone....

that's a thought, I aslo don't get v good polyp expansion although my growth is good - may also be the angels - I've two, a flame and a lemon peel - can't face trying to catch them though....

yeh, I've read sometimes they come out at night - I'll check tonight although I think they were out in the store under similar intensity halides.
Water flow could be better 2 x 1200litres per hour...
