IMO, I can't see how that would make the rock to porous.

oh yeah....

I tried blowing into the air tube and it didn't seem blocked to me. Then I did what I described above and it turned out there was a significant blockage.

If you have a leak or something in the sump or at the pump the water will drain to the level of the green part....which would mean nearly all the water...

Does anybody know anything about the Schuran skimmers? I saw one in a store and the price seemed comparable to the more expensive Skimmers (Deltec, H&S) out there. Are they comparable performance...
