ichthyman- thank you, i was able to get that cleared up earlier, their spec sheet is a bit confusing and i was overlooking the fact that the 10k Aqualite would fire on the probe start.

started the tank off 2 years ago with XM 10k's but they were too intense, the lighting cycle was only like 5-6 hours...
