Carpets are such beautiful animals. I really love seeing them. However, I feel the same way about having one in a mixed reef. And since I'm not likely to start a species tank any time soon,...

My hider is now on the back tank glass ... not an ideal location for light, but better than whereever it was. I believe it ate some of what I fed it yesterday, so I hope it perks up a little bit...

Don't they end up starving to death after they clean out your aiptasia? I'm not really willing to do that to them.

I think that's a real possibility. If I were you, I would use the powerhead and get the 'nem to move the night before. And then I'd put the spare live rock in buckets (the night before .... it...

I dreaded moving my tank when I moved. But even though it was hard, it was not as bad as I thought it would be.

It's a 75 gal. I moved ALL of the water using 5 gal buckets. I didn't have...

Wow. What else do you have in there? Any corals at all?

I have to BTAs in a 75 and probably wouldn't want more unless I just made it a species tank (with fish), which might actually be cool...

I've had one for a year now that was healthy as could be. However, it moved into a dark area (actually lost it for 2-3 weeks) and has now emerged on the back glass of the aquarium. It looks...

So far so good I guess. My only concern is that the Foxface gets enough to eat. The GSM and damsel are very aggressive eaters. They don't fight, but they do rush and grab up all...

Gold Striped Maroon aggression

Last night I introduced a Foxface to my tank. I had it in quarantine for a little over three weeks. It was doing very well in QT, but because it's a small tank (10 gal) I didn't want to leave it...

My gold striped maroon clown abused her anemone at first too, including biting some of the tentacles off. She has since settled down and treats her anemone well.

That's a Gold Striped Maroon. I'm not expert on the latin names, but from Googling, "Premnas Biaculeatus" seems to incorporate lots of the maroons. The "regular" maroons have white stripes. I...
