I just feed the fish first and then use a turkey baster to feed the polyps. The residual food continues to feed the fish/inverts.

I had one in my hammer for almost a year and it was very active. Was doing well till I sold it, I was suprised it lived. I would give credit to DT's mroe than anything else.

Sounds like a good setup, I have read that the kelvin rating of AB 10K's, which I have with the PFO 250w hqi, is actually closer to 9200k. It sure does make things grow in my 40 breeder though. good...

Why not just use 45lb's for the 34g? I think 70 might be full unless you use denser rock. I would start with that and after its full of corals it'll be packed.

I feed mine cut mysis, frozen cyclopseeze, and crushed marine flakes. They eat it all with gusto and open up as soon as the halides go off as if begging for food.

With the polyps closed I would shake the "crud" off lightly in a bucket of sw that way it wont have to have it cure and rot in the main tank.
