For de bulbs regular glass will filter out the UV. Low e = low emissitivity which reflects heat back to its source. Great for windows for an extra insulating factor, not for reef tanks:)

Ive used ushios and xm's before on the ballasts and xm's are whiter, not bluer. Now with the pc's for actinic you can achieve a bluer color

I use 150w on my 55g def go with 10k anything higher really is not sufficient at all. They are also run on aro ballasts
