Instead of having to buy acrylic rod, use the rigid airline tubing that you can get from almost every LFS out there and a drill bit. I think it's 3/16". I hate the marine epoxy putty! It never sticks...

I'll go ahead and jump on board here with the 20L suggestion, just in case you aren't convinced yet! It's all about the surface area, and the 20L provides plenty of it.

Throw a mushroom in there and watch it closely. It should be hardy enough to recover if things go south.
But honestly, it is probably too soon.

I agree with AIMFish-
there is nothing wrong with pc lighting, you could keep some nice lower light corals in there. However, if you haven't purchased your lights yet, consider something stronger....
