Do you have a refugium ? If not, it's a great way to have macroalgae outcompete the ones in your tank. Do not forget to use some activated carbon on a regular basis. A phosphate binder will also help...

There are different ways to do it. Some weight it down with small rocks, some zip tie it to eggcrate. Mine stays on the bottom. Some like to make 'tumble' in water current...Good luck :)

Same here: replace the bulkheads with quality ones (like Haywards for example) drilled at the top on the flat part on the sides (2" bulkheads). Use gravity by elevating one of the tubs.

I agree with the others, fans blowing in fresh air work best , and will last a lot longer. I have 4 fans (2 Icecaps on each side) on my 375. Temp remains at ~ 80. 5 MH bulbs. No chiller needed.
