Do you have a refugium ? If not, it's a great way to have macroalgae outcompete the ones in your tank. Do not forget to use some activated carbon on a regular basis. A phosphate binder will also help...

Same here: replace the bulkheads with quality...
Same here: replace the bulkheads with quality ones (like Haywards for example) drilled at the top on the flat part on the sides (2" bulkheads). Use gravity by elevating one of the tubs.

I agree with the others, fans blowing in fresh air work best , and will last a lot longer. I have 4 fans (2 Icecaps on each side) on my 375. Temp remains at ~ 80. 5 MH bulbs. No chiller needed.
