This morning I'm noticing better coloration after 1 day of the gyre flow approach - several corals that collected bits of detritus are clean as whistles - very nice!

Gyre flow

Just read an interesting article in advanced aquarist concerning PH placement and optimal bulk laminal water movement - they recommend creating a circular flow around a reef structure aka gyre.

I repositioned my PH's today - gyre in full effect - so far I love the new flow pattern - lots of dead spots were instantly cured...notice the PH positioning...

I'd say the 6200's plus additional circulation...

I'd say the 6200's plus additional circulation for dead zones - maybe a wavy sea or two on the return lines.
