I just got mine hooked up. There is no real overflow noise that I can tell, the level in the overflow only drops a bit with each wave.
Took a bit of fine tuning to get past the side to side motion...

You can't just ditch the bioballs if you don't...
You can't just ditch the bioballs if you don't have enough rock. That would be 1 or optimally 2lbs per gallon. If you have that much rock, slowly remove the bioballs when your tank is stable. N
